These items should be on your Skyline Trail hike checklist:

A comfortable rucksack, 1 per person (if hiking alone) or at least 1 per group.

Good fitting, hot weather-appropriate clothing giving you protection from the sun. If you are planning on starting early, it can be chilly at 07.00 in Hatta.

Hiking footwear- this can be a sturdy pair of gym trainers, but ideally trail shoes or boots. No flip flops, crocs or sliders!

A good pair of socks is always a good idea and don’t forget to cut your toenails. You will thank us for this advice on the long descent.

Plenty of food – You will possibly be hiking for four hours. We will provide some energy for you in the form of dried fruits but bring your own nuts, energy bars, sandwiches or whatever you want. Don’t forget you have to carry it though.

Plenty of water – we recommend a minimum of 2 litres of water per person. We will have 3 water stations. The first at the start, the second at the foot of the big climb and the third at the Hatta Sign.

First-aid kit- Whilst we have medical assistance in attendance it is always recommended to have a first aid kit with you, just in case.

Sunglasses,  Sun protection cream, lip balm and hiking poles are all items you might consider bringing yourself as they are not supplied.
