Guided Mountain Hiking in the Hajar Mountains

Based at Wadi Hub, the Hatta Hiking Club offers professionally guided mountain hikes through the rugged and spectacular Hajar Mountains. All hikes are led by experienced guides and operated under the direction of Hatta Outdoor Mountain Rangers.

Our hikes are designed for people who enjoy physical challenge, teamwork, and adventure, delivered within a safe, structured group environment.

Hiking in Hatta is not casual walking.

These are demanding mountain activities that require preparation, honest self-assessment of fitness, and respect for fellow hikers and guides.

The Hatta Sign Hike

A classic Hatta 5.6km route taking in the iconic 19 m giant Hatta letters, once a Guinness World Record. The trail is mainly green, with around 10 minutes of blue, featuring short steep sections that are not dangerous. Expect stunning westward views towards Dubai, stops at Hatta View Café, and plenty of photo opportunities.

Duration: ~2.5 hours (with rests and photoshoots)

The SkyLine Trail

Hard route | Strong physical effort | Steep climbs | Sustained elevation

A demanding and rewarding hike covering 10 km of exposed ridgelines and dramatic terrain. Often compared to routes like Striding Edge and Windy Gap, it offers spectacular panoramic views across Hatta and towards Oman. Long, physical climbs and steep descents make this a true test, finishing with a descent past the famous Hatta Sign.

Duration: 3-4 hours
Difficulty: Hard
Trails: Green, Blue, Red & Black

The Hatta Halaqa

Very Hard | Advanced endurance | Technical mountain hiking

The hardest route in the Hatta Hiking Club portfolio. This epic 14 km loop includes the famous, exposed ridge-top black route, which is technically difficult and can be dangerous. With nearly 1,000 m of ascent and descent, it delivers relentless challenge, incredible views, and everything Hatta hiking is known for.
Eligibility: Experienced hikers only
Requirement: Must have previously hiked with Hatta Hiking Club

Night Hike

Hiking after dark adds a whole new dimension to the mountains. With headlamps and hand torches lighting the trail, senses sharpen and focus increases, sometimes you even see more at night than during the day. Wildlife is more active, and it’s not uncommon to spot a mountain fox. A unique and unforgettable experience.
Eligibility: Experienced hikers only
Requirement: Completion of at least one prior Hatta Hiking Club hike
