Dubai 30 x 30 Fitness Challenge at Hatta, Wadi hub

Hatta, Wadi Hub is an incredible location to complete the biggest selection of fitness activities in the whole UAE.

Please arrive 30 minutes before any Fitness Challenge starts for registration. Some events have pre registration, please see the specific details for each event

Sunrise Hike

Day: Saturday’s

Dates: 28th Oct, 11th Nov & 18th Nov

Time: 07:00 -10:30

Wolf Pack Adventures will guide you up to the Hatta Big Sign, more than 450m above sea level. The giant letters measure over 19m each and it is for this reason it is a Guinness World Record holder.

Starting promptly at 07.00, all hikers must be ready to leave at this time. The hike lasts at least 2 hours and although not technically difficult, it is a challenging physical effort. Please ensure you a fit enough to complete such a fitness challenge. If in doubt please consult a medical professional for advice.

It is mandatory to wear suitable footwear, hiking shoes or good quality sports trainers.

You must bring your own water and food, sufficient for a 2.5 hour hike. We recommend at least 2 litres of water each person. You will have to carry your own supplies in a rucksack.

Meeting point for this Fitness Challenge is backside of the Wadi Hub area in Hatta.

No registration is needed for this hike. See you in Wadi Hub.

Concept 2 Triathlon

Day: Saturday’s

Dates: 28th Oct, 4th Nov, 11th Nov & 18th Nov

Time: 17:00 -18:30

The Concept 2 Triathlon is bound to be popular so make sure you register your participation time. 

The Triathlon is made up of the three disciplines of Cycling, Rowing and Skiing. Hatta Outdoor will identify what order they are to be completed in.

The event is open to both teams or individuals.

The object is to cover as much distance as possible in 30 minutes. This 30 minutes is broken down into 10 minutes on each machine.

As an individual you must complete all 30 minutes with an immediate transition between machine of no more than 30 seconds.

Teams can be up to 6 and each will complete a minimum of 5 minutes. Once again, transition between competitors and machines must be instantaneous.

The winning individual is the person who travels the furthest distance in metres. Likewise for the team event.

Teams can be mixed.

Resistance levels can be set at your prefer.

Old School Circuit Training

Old School Circuit training is something many of you will know about. For those of you who don’t, well you are in for a surprise. Circuit training is a tough workout, that throws the rule book out of the window. Straight forward exercises like press ups, sit ups, burpess, ski jumps all done for about 30 seconds each set form the back bone of the circuit training sessions. 

No need to book, just come to Hatta Outdoor Wadi Hub reception. Make sure you wear your sports kit and bring yourself some water because we are going to get hot and the Old School Circuits is completed outside come sun, rain, wind or snow!

Hardcore MTB

Day: Sunday’s

Dates: 29th Oct, 5th Nov, 12th Nov & 19th Nov

Time: 07:00 -09:00

This Sunday morning mountain biking is for Hard Core riders. The route for experienced riders will start on the green trails here in Wadi Hub and quickly move onto the harder trails leading to the extreme black trails. 

The (approx.) 2 hour ride will include challenging climbs, steep descents and plenty of pedaling. Ideally you will have your own well maintained bike (full suspension better) and it is mandatory to wear a helmet. Bikes and helmets can be rented from Hubbers and they do offer 30 minutes of hire for free if you purchase 30 minutes.

Please bring and carry your own supplies of at least food and water.

Registration is at 06.30 and we start riding at 07.00 prompt.

Guided Mountain Biking

This Sunday afternoon guided mountain biking is for new riders. The route  will start on the green trails here in Wadi Hub and follow some beautiful trails.

Small and Big Plunge

What better way to get fit than to bounce around on giant trampolines. The Small Plunge is for kids and the Big Plunge for adults. 15 minutes of craziness on these activities is like 30 minutes anywhere else.

No need to book, just come on down to the Hatta Outdoor, Wadi Hub reception and we will tell you what to do.

Morning Hike

Adventure Eagles will guide you up to the Hatta Sign. Their experienced guides will ensure you have a safe and rewarding hike to the iconic location.

Adventure Eagles by Adventure Emarat is a dynamic group of family-friendly, outdoor adventure enthusiasts. They embark on various excursions of trekking, hiking, snorkeling, mountain biking, camping, canyoning, off-roading, yoga and meditation, wall-climbing and trail-running, to name a few. AE’s home turf is the UAE and Oman. However, AE also organizes team adventures internationally. The group consists of volunteer amateur hobbyists. Organizers have over 20 years of experience in adventure and outdoor activities, and they have set-up and managed multiple adventure groups since 2007. They are experienced in designing, planning and executing adventure activities in UAE, Oman, India, Iran and Nepal besides administering/supporting multiple international adventure events of repute.

Adventure Emarat is a not-for-profit group open to like-minded adventurers. Adventure Eagles is licensed under the rules of Dubai Economy.

Registration is mandatory for this hike and Adventure Eagles have there own terms and conditions.

The 2.5 hr. hike starts and finishes in Hatta, Wadi Hub.

Yoga

Day: Sunday

What better way to improve your fitness during the Dubai 30x 30 challenge to join us for an hour of Yoga.

Bring your own mat and make sure you wear suitable clothing.

This Yoga session is outside under a shaded area right next to the Hatta Wadi Hub.

Our Yogi can instruct people of all ages and experience.

Wall Climbing

You adventurers will enjoy a bit of Wall Climbing, we have 4 routes up the face. Easy, Moderate, Difficult and Very Difficult. Weight restriction for participants is 120kg maximum.

Wall Climbing is free during the specific Dubai 30 x 30 session and booking is not required. Please register at the Wadi Hub reception area. Sports shoes must be worn and other Hatta Outdoor terms and conditions apply.

Wall climbing is great for all the family and we look forward to seeing in Hatta, Wadi Hub.

Al Khattem Dam Hike

Starting promptly at 16.00, all hikers must be ready to leave at this time. The hike to Al Khattem Dam and back to Wadi Hub lasts about 1 hour. We do have time for an explore around the dam area. Please ensure you a fit enough to complete such a fitness challenge. If in doubt please consult a medical professional for advice.

You must bring your own water and food, sufficient for a 1 hour hike. We recommend at least 1 litre of water each person. You will have to carry your own supplies in a rucksack.

1000 calorie challenge

Day: Friday’s

Dates: 3rd Oct, 10th Nov, 17th Nov & 24th Nov

Time: 16:00 -17:00

This is a very special activity for the Dubai 30 30 Fitness Challenge. After your mandatory training there is the opportunity to burn 1000 calories in 90 minutes. It looks like fun (and it is) but the Hatta Aerial Adventure Park High Ropes Course can be extremely demanding physically. 

You have to climb, stretch, pull, push, jump, walk and swing to complete the whole course.

As a special Dubai 30 x 30 promotion we are offering all participants an amazing 50% discount (normal price 180 AED, discounted price 90 AED).

User requirements for this activity are aged 7 years plus, height between 120cm and 200cm and also weight between 35kg and 120kg. No exceptions can be made.

Maximum 80 participants permitted in this event and the offer is on a first come first served basis.

Tickets are purchasable only in the Wadi Hub reception and the use of the discount is only for the stipulated dates and times of this specific offer.

There registration is in Hatta Wadi Hub.  The hike lasts at least 2 hours and although not technically difficult, it is a challenging physical effort made all the more difficult because of the torch light descent. Please ensure you a fit enough to complete such a fitness challenge. If in doubt please consult a medical professional for advice. 

YOU MUST HAVE A GOOD TORCH OR HEAD LAMP

It is mandatory to wear suitable footwear, hiking shoes or good quality sports trainers.

You must bring your own water and food, sufficient for a 2.5 hour hike. We recommend at least 2 litres of water each person. You will have to carry your own supplies in a rucksack.
